Much of the prosecutors' case was based on DNA taken from several pubic hairs found near Schmidt's body that matched Ream.

And the DA says thats not enough evidence!?!?!? Crazy......

Used to see bumper-stickers (long ago) that had a quote from a Shakespeare play ("Henry II", I think -- have to research this) :
"... First, we kill all the lawyers ...."

    Should have those reproduced, eh?

    Yee HAW!
Aw come on, guys. Be fair. It's only 99% of the lawyers who give the rest a bad rep.

A large fishing boat is filled with a group of lawyers. The boat capsizes in shark infested waters and except for the lawyers, everyone on the boat is eaten by sharks. Know why that was?
Professional courtesy. (Or you can reply even sharks have some taste).

Seriously, I doubt if the defense attorney really believes what he was quoted as saying. If a defense lawyer doesn't do the job properly, there can be serious legal issues down the road and a guilty person can get off scot free.

Reading the paragraph in question reminds me of the riddle about "if a tree falls in a forest, and nobody hears it, does it make a noise?"

As for the defendant's attorney, he would have served his client better by making a plea.

    Have a great holiday season.
