I was wondering if there is any trumpet brand in Cuba that makes trumpets in Cuba?
Probably not. Even if there was, I would imagine them not to be as good as the ones manaufactured in America or Asia.
AND about as easy to buy as Cuban Cigars!
Cuban Cigars are not that difficult to get, just as illegal drugs aren't either ... when you know the sources ... and there lays the anathema to most of us including our law enforcement. Still, musicians or anyone else shouldn't need either.
Now truly, we know Cuban music is well founded and we don't know whether or not they could or are producing brass instruments, but I know of nothing that prevents them from being able to do so ... even to surpass the quality found elsewhere in the world. What I do know is that they've a pool of hand crafters and world sources for technology.
And this... from an x-law inforcement officer...
x-law inforcement? Sounds like the laxative police. x-lax INforcement? Or do you favor Italian suppositories, Innuendos? You know, the ones made in North Dakota, Upper U.S........
Couldn't catch them (illegals) all by myself ... they moved faster than me. Not sure I could catch a snail now (can't bend over even to tie my own shoes).
Why wouldn't they be as good? The only test of a good maker is the maker themselves, not which country they come from.
But easier by far to play than a Cuban Cigar............
