Do you have to sit straight up to play trumpet correctly?

    Just be careful you don't stand erect more than 4 hours!

    Especially with locked knees, or in hot weather. I've know both to be hospitalized, the heat stroke victim never to fully recover. However, heat stroke can get you just as well sitting or actively moving.

    Yeah, they tell you that you need to call you physician.... Heck.... I'd be calling everyone I could find in my little black book... not my physician!

    I like the Vulgano dirt cheap version of the Alexander Technique. Whether one sits or stands is moot, the trick is to keep the top of our head as far as possible from our fanny.
