I was wondering if there is any chance of finding a trumpet-cello duet for my friend and I. Please help. I found "Cannon in D" but she doesn't like it... So does any one know of others? Thanks!

Yves Chardon wrote a Sonata for this combination. The trumpet part is a D trumpet part, as I recall. It is quite difficult.

Yo-Yo Ma duets with Chris Botti on Italian film composer's Ennio Morricone's romantic "Cinema Paradiso."

(You can tell I copy and pasted this. I never use the word romantic on the threads.)

You will more likely find this duet played on YouTube. I always go there when I want to see violinist Lucia Micarelli perform with Chris Botti on "Emmanuel" ,again.

    you can always rewrite something.
download a music notation program, and arrange some nice duets yourself for this combination.

I met my wife playing trumpet-cello duets. Brings back memories. We just played from trumpet-trombone or clarinet-bassoon duets, which are easier to find.

Well? Did you choose a duet, yet? Just wondering what you considered.

Would you mind elaborating on "quite difficult?" I have some good friends who play cello and we all have recitals next year; but i can only chew so much at one time!

Here is a sample of the work on Charlie's recording.

Amazon.com: Virtuoso Trumpet: Lawrence Wolfe, Joel Moerschel, Yves Chardon, George Enescu, Arthur Honegger, Francis Poulenc, Camille Saint-Saens, Tomas Svoboda, James Sommerville, Paul Jenkins, Deborah DeWolf Emery, Ronald Barron, Charles Schlueter:

The first five sample clips are Chardon.

Thanks Wilmer. I probably should have figured that out myself.

I might be able to play that...
