    Lionel,

You need to stop asking us for validation of your sound concept. It seems as if you've given us examples, in the youtube clips, of cornet sounds you like. Fine -- those prove that there are players out there making sounds you like on the instrument you like, so what more validation do you need?

The one thing I will point out is in this clip:

Victoires du Jazz 2013 - Médéric Collignon et le Jus de Bocse - Hommage à King Crimson - YouTube

the sound of that Getzen cornet is being processed through a lot of effects. What we're hearing (and I'll admit, I couldn't make it to the three-minute mark... what that guy plays just doesn't appeal to me) has very little to do with the "real" sound coming out of the bell.

Man, I ~loved~ that guy's concept. Thanks for posting the link.

BTW, regarding everything else Nieuwguyski posted, good points, although I think you can still hear a core sound to what he's doing.

Oh yes, there are some great musicians in France, for trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, we've got Médéric Collignon and Stéphane Belmondo and more... It is the French touch !
