I just read about a movie by writer/director Mitch Glazer called, Passion Play about a troubled trumpet player played by Mickey Rourke?

He’s got a line in the movie, “I’ve messed up most of my life. I’ve only had two things: my music and my dope, but in the end it’s always been my dope.”

Anyone know anything more about it?

Don't know about Mickey Rourke, but Eric Cantona does!

My other passion is professional wrestling, and Mickey's movie "The Wrestler," is awesome!

So from what I found out, Christian Scott played the music and showed Mickey some fingering.

Richard Gere played the cornet in "Cotton Club" or so I read. No faking for him and it sounded pretty good, although it would be pretty easy to look like you're playing in a film. Easier than most instruments. Even I could tell that the violinist in "Treme" is a real player (wow, is she ever!) and that Meryl Streep had never played the violin before making her film (can't remember the name).
