I think it needs more takes until he can hit the note without "swooping up" to it.

If he tried for a clean cut off, he would just now be coming out of his coma.

Why do people put stuff like that on the internet?

    Really thin tone too.

Why did Bill Chase do it at the end of his 2nd album?
(with thin tone, blistering power, and dramatic cut-off)

    A better question would be:
Why don't more people do it?
Because most people aren't able to do it.

I kind of agree with Morris,

why shouldn't people be allowed to "market" testosterone? Do we not have a very big difference in opinions about Maynard Fergusons career? Heck, we are not even in agreement what makes a good Haydn Concerto!

I am not sure if the issue is that others "can't" physically or can't because of their personal musical taste. Seriously, who doesn't get a smile when listening to the Tastee Brothers?

The most beautiful thing about music is YOU can choose what YOU like or hate, and be 100% right - for yourself. Unlike being a kid where the mom forces them to eat spinach, you have complete control over your destiny! Just don't come to me for lessons if squeak is your future. I have no idea how to develop in that direction.

    "the guy" is Bill Carmichael.
Bill Carmichael has also created "Screamin The Final Embouchure Method", a video for embouchure development.

Do you know anyone who can play Double C with a "fat" tone?

"Why do people put stuff like that on the internet? "
That is interesting "constructive criticizum"

Many players would give almost anything to be able to play the way he played in that video at the top of the thread.

If I could play like that, I would be standing on a downtown street corner holding my trumpet and saying to strangers who pass by, "Hey, you wanna hear something really neat?"
    :D

How to appreciate that video at the top of the thread:
    Ballet is a physical endeavor.
Power lifting 700 pounds is a physical endeavor.
Both are impressive in their own way.
That video that the top of the thread is the equivalent of power lifting 700 pounds.
