dropping off instrument for repair with no case?

    As you probably know, Brasso was the go-to brass cleaner back in the day, but it was messy and smelly. Thanks for the answer.

    Are these products readily available outside the US? If not, does anyone know the UK equivalent?

    There's another product like MAAS and Simichrome called Wenol. If I'm not mistaken, all three are made in Europe, so I'd guess they would be available in the UK.

    Good to know- that's what the repair guy recommended. I'll get some of the simichrome stuff instead.

    Of course, Simichrome (and the others) have a smell, too, and produce a lot of black on the cloth (the removed tarnish). Here are a before and after picture of an old horn I bought on eBay. I think I used MAAS in this one, but they all work the same.

    MAAS has an address based out of Illinois. They do have a Website that ships anywhere. I love this stuff, it makes my raw brass Olds Super Recording out shine my lacquered Olds Recordings
