    Of course there will always be some members who booze it up among other things. But no one can force you to take part, in either boozing or marching. The desire must come from within.

    I have a got a friend playing with a company now (Bluecoats if I'm not mistaken). I think next week is the Championship becauase he is scheduled to be here for a camp we do the week after.
    I like the marching aspect of bands. I grew up with military style marching but have done a little Corp as well but prefer the military much better. I do like to watch "good" corp. bands when they don't bore the heck out me by playing concert hall music. On the field is about letting it rip.

    Have not followed it much in "modern" times, but I had a blast playing Soprano back in the early 1970's. Sure does build chops of iron. Also a good way to build disicpline for memorizing tunes. Got to see a fair bit of the country too... riding on 1948 GMC buses. Fun times!
