E.S.P. and C.T.A. meaning?

    Hello! I'm intrigued with the meaning of the names of two themes played by Miles Davis: E.S.P. and C.T.A. Somebody knows? Thanks!

    Actually, I think I read that C.T.A was named after three women-I think it's in his autobiography. You're right about ESP- it refers in the context of this song to the unspoken communication that group had while improvising together.
