I'm sure everyone has seen some funny descriptions of Cornets and Trumpets in eBay, and I thought it would be fun to share some of the funny ones.
The more "off" they are from the actual statistics, the funnier they are to me:-)
The last one I looked at said in the description: "Comes with original mouthpiece and two muting cones" Gotta love it.
You got to have the Muting cones and what's the sense of buying a trumpet if the mouthpiece isn't original? It can't be compatible, right?

As Bobby Hackett said about his horn....

"Upper register like new, never used".

Gee, all this time I thought they were just "mutes" ...... Wow, you mean they're part of the Conehead Family??? Are you sure it didn't say, "Mating cones?" I think that's what's happening on the shelves in my closet ... :-o (where did they all come from?)

What kind of government-approved machine tests a horn for "playbility?"

Maybe it's like the "cone" of silence, like from "Get Smart" back in the sixties!
Once I saw a statement that the trumpet had "Rotary" valves.......and unless they had a stock picture of some generic trumpet, those were pistons to be sure!

I saw that ... "rotary valves" and scratched my head ..."is that what they call them?"

@Tobylou8.. looks like he bent his bell trying to get the "cone" out..
A muters case is actually what you use to carry around the little men who put the mutes in your trumpet for you.. sort of like Kebbler Elves

I wonder if there were any 'mutations' caused by these cones?
