    Hey Leigh!

The grease that was on the slides on my MR when it came from Eclipse was some of the slickest stuff I've seen on slides. What is it?

    Hey Mike!

<-----------My XLR "seperated at birth" from yours.

say hey to your MR from us!

I use basic grease (selmer i think?) with a bit of zaja blue valve oil and it works great.

Maybe Leigh will come out with slide grease along with his new valve oil?

I use STP automotive oil additive. On slides like the tuning slide and 2nd valve slide I use it straight out of the bottle. On the kickers I mix it with valve oil until I get the consistency I like. STP never drys out, so slides don't freeze up. On my personal horn, that isn't an issue, but i have school horns that have sat in the cabinet unused for a year and still had free slides.

But even my STP concoction isn't as smooth as what Eclipse shipped the horn with.

I use a combination of Schilke Slide Grease and some Trombotine Slide Cream,
    works nicely
