Didn't you know that song "Trumpets are forever"? The name's Blow. James Blow. And I'll have my Zaja Blue shaken, not stirred.

Just to clarify, the long tones...

Is that Blow C 30 seconds, Rest 30 seconds, blow D 30 seconds, rest 30 seconds, Blow E 30 seconds rest 30 etc?
Or should I be doing all the Notes C C# D D# etc

Try licking your lips before you play.

The "axiom" of rest as much as you play can certainly vary with the player's endurance ... but it is not note, rest, note, ad infinitum. For the 11-12 year old beginners I tutor, I have them alternate playing 20 minutes, resting 20 minutes during which I discuss and demonstrate. At my age and with health issues my practice regimen is to alternate play 30 minutes, rest 15 minutes and I log only my playing time as averages 2 hours a day 6 days a week albeit that may be in segments with life priorities.
    20 minutes, rest

I personally go a half step at a time. I also do two octaves but only every otherday. I use a hose trumpet (thanks to Rowuk for the help) in my truck when playing a horn isn't practical, safe, or legal.

    Did my long tones.

It makes my head go weird. Heart starts to race as well cause I feel 'out of air'. This normal?

Well I played 20min. I actually found the time to go quick doing long tones. Not boring at all :)

If your head starts to swim, back off a bit. It's not gonna help to hurt your head. Booooooriiiiing sets in weeks later.
