Embouchure Help

    Well to me it sounds like you need an experienced teacher.

    As for the tonging, try hitting much shorter, like the gums behind your upper teeth.

    For the record, if you can't play it pianissimo with a full sound, you haven't earned it. 90% of the time we are more than loud enough, that shows me that there is room for work below that volume.

    Tonguing problems are almost always caused by BREATHING PROBLEMS. If your breath support is up to snuff, very little tongue motion will give you precise attacks. When your breath support stinks, you have to hammer out the notes to get them even started! Do a search on circle of breath here at TM. That is my stand!

    I searched and couldn't find that thread. Do you have the link?

    After just playing for 20min. as softly as I could doing some Arban exercises my lifts feel wore out. There is a line right on the center of my lower lip but I was trying to have light mouthpiece pressure. How can I stop this from happening? My left center tooth on my lower set of teeth is a little farther back then my right which could be a reason?
