I found great advice on youtube regarding apeture. I too am a comeback player, and I have a lot of buzz and distortion when I play with my mouthpiece in the center. The youtube video tells you to look in a mirror, and check your apeture. This is the area where the lips part open to allow air to pass, thus creating the buzz needed to play. Bcause I was in marching band, I caused a lot of scarring on my lips, and if I play centered, I am amplifying the flapping scar tissue, and I sound awful. So, I look in the miror, and my apeture is now off to the left. I place my Mpc. there, and voila!! I sound GREAT!

This is a new discovery to me, and everyone may have different results, but I am going to continue with this, and I will let y'all know hw it goes..., OK??
