    And I bet your FEV1 has increased as a result of your comeback as well. The trumpet can be healing at ANY age. So OP here you have it, you are NEVER too old.

    I don't think it's your embrochure, I think it's that you've forgotten the role your tongue plays. Stick your tongue to the roof towards the back of your mouth and blow...your tongue will naturally release and notes will happen. Your tongue doesn't really start the sound, it just kind of gets out of the way.
