Faking the part of being a professional trumpeter?

    If you don't try it, you will always wonder what might have happened. As long as they don't ask for dues.....

    While we're talking about working with others..... if you need to purchase anything for the gig (e.g. microphone, better trumpet, cowbell, WHATEVER....) always buy the best you can afford. Everything that helps you to be the best you can be is a tool. It is hard enough with good tools, and inferior tools will irritate the heck out of you.

    Be honest and go for it. I went to my local brass band, sat on 2nd cornet for a night and loved it second rehersal the front row didn't turn up I went forward loved it even more and stayed ever since.
