I am a graphical kind of guy. The music really doesn't matter as much - but the cover artwork.............

Don't want to mention any tunes in particular. Do want to say that I always thought that Herb Alpert is one of only a handful of trumpet players with their own distinct sound, instantly recognisable by that sound rather than what choice of notes they use.

Favorite TJB song for me is from the album that Herb recorded with the reformed TJB around 75-76. The piece is Carmine, a tribute to Carmine Caruso. Bob Findley plays one of the best solos you will ever hear.

Casino Royale would be my choice from the original band. I believe that Ollie Mitchell was the other trumpeter in the band in those days. Ollie is retired and living on Oahu I believe.
