It is truly amazing what we can learn once we start listening to ourselves.
We do have the ability to talk ourselves into or out of anything including
anxiety. Relax and enjoy the moment. Simple as that.

P.S. Bananas ARE good for fighting nervousness. There's a chemical called
Tryptophan in them that causes the release of Serotonin into the system.
Serotonin is a natural sedative. Contrary to popular belief, it does not
make you drowsy (ie. Thanksgiving dinner - turkey is high in Tryptophan).
Overeating and burning of carbohydrates makes you drowsy. For more info,

Played the session last night and things went well. I took Manny's advice and had the producer fax me the part ahead of time. That really helped. I was comfortable with the music when I went in. My main problem is I'm not a great reader. When I'm comfortable with the music, I can play well.

I rode to the session with the lead player. I met him on the other side of town. I left what I thought would be 10 minutes early, but got stuck in traffic and wound up getting to the meeting place 10 minutes late. He was a little miffed, but got over it quickly. We were still plenty early for the session.

    Bravo, Mike!

All's well that ends well. Incidentally, what kind of tunes were they, the ones you laid down?
