    Thanks for asking.
The aches and pains are almost gone. The trumpet went to the repair guy last night.

I used the trumpet for a gig last night. It didn't play very good. The dents are minor. There must be something bent putting stress on the trumpet. It never was the best trumpet in the world but now I'm afraid it's not going to ever be fun to play again without major work.

The repair guy plays in the band. When he looked at it he saw some bends in the bell that I didn't see. I don't know how far he'll go with the repair. I just told him to fix it.

A person is not really old until regrets begin to replace dreams.

If I were mean I might think that Joe accidentally found a proper use for a Bach, but I'm not mean...

I'm sure that several of us harbor such thoughts!

Well, when I was 60 I had a 30 year old girlfriend. I survived to marry someone only a few years younger (than me)!

Both would agree that playing the trumpet (and playing music in general) contributes to my youth.

My condolences on your Bach, Joe. The good thing about that accident is that you are recovering well and horns are much more easily fixed than are we. I suspect there are still plenty of dreams left for you.
