The Arban method book just came in mail today.
The exercises are superb, and I am excited to learn from this book.

I slur a bunch of the exercises in front. I can tongue them... but slurring can be harder.

I am the exception to have never studied Clarke as I perceived no need to ... having been trained and tutored by another Sousa cornetist with a Doctorate in instrumental music, that Clarke didn't attain. Gordon has a lot of good concepts, but I've now lost the ability to deep breathe with COPD.

As many times as I've attempted it, I'm still not personally satisfied with my performance of Arban's Carnival of Venice and put to shame by Geoffrey, even though he plays a different rendition.
