Freddie Hubbard passed today

    Just heard that the great Freddie Hubbard passed away today from heart failture.He was definitely one of thebest that ever lived,Just listening to any of his burning solos you knew it was a natural thing .He will be missed but his work will live on forever.

    :( It's always sad to see one of the best go.

    I had no idea he was still alive.

    One of if not the very best pure improviser in the history of jazz, regardless of instrument, not to mention a monster trumpet player. Sad to hear.

    Too bad, another great goes too young! He was only 70. I am 66 so you can see where I'm going with the age remark. I'm glad many older musicians are still going, it does help to keep you young!:play:
