    Was listening to Torch Songs for Trumpet, and gad, is this guy's intonation incredible. Enjoy.

    That is a great album. I had it in my collection years ago. Somewhere along the line it disappeared. Hope whoever took it is enjoying it as much as I did.

    Doc has to be the most precise technical player ever. Some others do lots of individual things better, but nobody is more spot on precise.

    What a day to have forgotten to bring headphones! I have always been impressed at Doc's effortless precision in all aspects (intonation, rhythm, dynamic, phrasing) and that inspires me to do better in those areas myself.
