It would appear to be a bucket mute

Yes, it looks like a Jo Ral Bucket. A Humes & Berg Bucket clips on the end of the bell, and sounds good too (&cheaper).

Jo Ral TPT-4A Aluminum Trumpet Bucket Mute | eBay
HUMES & BERG 108A VELVET TONE TRUMPET "BUCKET MUTE" 5" | eBay

& thanks, I am one who actually appreciates the piano accordian when played well; very pleasant. Nice Vid.

BTW - you can see the plaster on Wynton's middle left hand finger - that's the real secret to his playing.;-)

& check out the table at 4-00....there's quite a selection of mutes there.

    Cheers

    :-? Go to 30 seconds....and pause.

    Now STUDY that......

It must be accoustically effective - dampening the valve/brass harmonics ;-)
    That must be the secret....

Of course, the brand, thickness and density of the plaster is unknown.:-o
