Really? My Trumpet has a 3rd valve water key :-(.... but its weird because spit doesn't gather up there.. only in the main water key...

Oh... I know someone from my All City Band that was his upper lip on top of his mouthpiece... he still can play though... but the tone...

    Ahem...

Nothing wrong with 3rd valve water keys, and what's wrong with lacquer???

Not everyone plays a gold plated Bach strad, you know.

If this company do so much for "aspiring artists", why don't they hire one for their photoshoots?

Or maybe he's using the famous "roll out" method!

    Sucks indeed, Frank

The expensive suit and the big watch are also giveaways.

I know people whose actual embouchure is very similar to that. I don't know how they manage to play.

    Ok, let's see:

    Funky embouchure
    Funky hand position (left hand)
Funky hand position (right hand - pinky on third valve!)
Tuning slide pushed all the way in
Looks to be a student model Yamaha, and an old one at that (check the receiver)

No real player would be doing those things, and although I have seen some guys gigging on student model Yamahas (my Latin band days) most who are serious about playing tend to try to move up from them when they graduate from the 8th grade. :D

...hey -- he approaches trumpet playing the same way my 3-year-old does. Maybe he's just 'humming' the notes through the horn liky my toddler does!

Never know, he could be a legit player, but with one heck of a sense of humour. For all we know he could post on this site.

    :D :D :D
