    FYI, 12/01/35 for you and the other kids (particularly Comeback Kid) out there... so remember I'll always be your senior. And it is "Yes, sir" to your elders... The comeback coming along well but I have to "push" things -- I will probably have to quit playing in another 20 years or so ... JA

    Woah! Woah! Rance is exactly what he want to improve so he should at least think about achiving a goot upper register when he plays trumpet. The only way to improve something is repitition. Yes to lots of long tones but you must practice all registers. I tried playing lots of low notes and got into pedal register but I didn't see progress until I started practicing music that forced me to play all the registers. If done correctly it will prevent devloping a high embrochue and a low embrochue.

    Do multiple patterns of lip slurs at the end of practice. I been told that the cool down is just as improtant as a warm-up but its often neglected.
