    Those are the years when Getzen was in their prime. If you've got a guy who can remove the various wrinkles and such it should be a very good or even great horn. Same era as my cornet.

    (Could be a fantastic horn for Leigh to work over!)

    I agree with Ed. Getzen made some very good instruments in the 70s.

    Just a word of note though. If my memory serves me well these were ML bore (460 ish) like the Benges of the era. Nothing wrong with that at all and ideal for a doubler because of that BUT the compromise is in the sound. It will tend to be a bit boomy as compared to the smaller bore Queenie clones...not quite as sweet but more than adequate if you're looking to play flugel occasionally..as most of us do.
