    I was checking out Guido and clicked on Felice Reggio. My first time hearing him. I really like his sound. Thanks Jens for the thread.

    Doc was and is a great show man....his clothes were as loud as his horn playing but his artistry spoke louder for itself

    Speaking of flugel players, what ever happened to Chuck Mangione? I rememeber he was all the rage 20 + years ago. Another great player of the past was Shorty Rogers, whom I had the privilege of hearing in a small bar in LA many years ago.:-)

    Oh yeah...still have the sparkling blue coat and use it when necessary. Kind of like owning a 44 magnum...only when necessary...let's call the coat an official drive-by trumpet shooting!
