    Yee HAW!
Just a little note that today, July 1, is Canada's birthday. Unfortunately we don't get July 4th off along with our US cousins, so it's only a 3 day weekend. Will just have to party all that much harder today!

Hmmm, I wonder if the International Tattoo is going on in Halifax, Nova Scotia right now. Back in 1996 when I was still with the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, I spent the 4th performing at the International Tattoo held at the big stadium right across from the fort.

Happy birthday Canada! I'll drink a few beers tonight in your honor! :D

Yeah... :x what RJ said... ;-)

plus... I think you guys are still struggling with not having royalty up there

the only queen we still like here in the U.S. is Elton John...

OMG... did I just say that and then push the submit button...???

Me <--- = (fumblefingers) OR (dyslexic). (pick one... or both).

    I meant 138th birthday. Arrrg.

    Oh well, close enough.

Just got back from the park where our band will play a concert tonight. Had the pleasure of watching the Scotsdale Az. mounted police unit perform a demonstration. Nice bunch of folks, nice horses. They're on their way to the Calgary Stampede which starts in 9 days.

Rogerio... I have a perfect history lesson that is absolutely priceless, funny, and actually fairly factual. Unfortunately it's on an audio cassette. Now, I might be able to get it into my computer and turn it into an mp3... it is certainly worth the work involved.

hmmm.... heck, that's one great idea. I'm in the process of putting together a digital archive of our band music this summer so that band members can get copies... I might just add this one to the mix "for myself". When I get it done I'll contact you and we can transfer it through DCC.
