I'm just getting to grips playing Perdido using a Denis Wick Harmon and although it's taking some time, my sound and range is finally starting to come good. It's been hard work though.

I only use a wah wah with the stem out and the mic close so I'm not blowing my brains out. I use it to provide fills for vocalists. I agree with ROWUK about the fuzzy sound. It definitely has it's own sound that can add greatly in it's place.

I only most use the wah wah feature to get my dogs to sing with the horn. It is so cool to hear them sing the heads with me. I will occasionally us it to carry on a heated musical conversation with our band's chick singer when we play down and dirty, gritty blues.

I found the AMT wireless mic system that puts the mic on a fixed boom system to work so nice with the harmon. You can place the socked mic right up against the hamron, blow oh so quietly into the horn and produce such a warm, full sound that would even get Miles to role with a grove in his grave.

I have a Weril bubble mute in aluminium that works quite nicely.

Now, Dupac, you've got another dilemma - how to find a convenient gig bag for that monster?

Yah, but it'll made you a little Dizzy playing it this way.
