    Maybe a bunch of us (say a dozen) could get together and buy it, then pass it around ...... like a timeshare. You get 1 month out of the year with it .... plan you gigs accordingly. Looks like a nice one.

    Now if we could channel Harry's talent also..................mmmmmm. Reminds me of the Miles' Black Martin that sold at auction a few years ago for over $40k, I think. There should be archived threads here.

    I hope it goes for more than just 10K. Harry deserves more recognition than that. Although I believe his last horn was a King silver flair. CW

    Unfortunately, all of the jazz that was in the horn had been drained off and recycled elsewhere. That horn is just a dead hunk of brass now.

    Harry's last horn was one of his King HJ models, balanced dual bore Symphony. I was with Harry 3 weeks before he died. That's what he was playing.

    Even if I had $20,000 to spare the horn would not make me sound like Harry James.
