How about maybe letting a more (even slightly more) advanced trumpet player play your trumpet and judge it?

Hey, maybe my problems are far more interesting. Or maybe people are just very willing to give some advice out there to newbies. :p

    Yes, very interesting problems indeed.
Like: I play the trumpet now for three weeks. The tuning slide is missing, is that a problem? But I practice almost every day for 5 minutes. Still my sound is not as good as Chris Botti's and every note above double high c tends to be a little thin. Please give me advice.

That you got ├╝berhaupt any answer here says more about the coquetry of some members here who desperately are trying to play the guru than about how interesting your problems are.
But don't feel disappointed, nobody will notice in the mess.

I never said the tuning slide is missing, never said I practice everyday for 5 minutes, why bring up Chris Botti? Lol.

OK, if this is too difficult for you:

Already 26 posts about someone who tried a horn for two weeks without any competent escort and is complaining about his sound and about difficulties in the high register.

BTW I think that you understand me completely but that you like to play with it.
    That's called a troll.

I'm actually not sure why you find a thread with this many post irritating and annoying. I just find it strange that's all. Oh and by the way I'm not "complaining" that I can't play in the high register. Quit being a such a drag man. Stay happy.

    Complete Rookie,
I finally got to see the pictures by copying the link out of the source text.

The Amado spit keys do not leak and everything seems to be there. That means your chops or one or more valves are not in correctly. You really need to find someone that can play to check your horn out.

So which reply do you feel is misleading or patronizing?
If you don't appreciate them, stop reading this thread.
    Problem solved.

Has the issue been resolved? How's the progress? I like the idea of teaching myself but I must share this. When I started to learn trumpet in 4th grade with a teacher I was playing songs, scales and a host of other basics in just a few months. When I decided to teach myself guitar, no lessons no teacher just my wit and ability to read music as I had been playing the horn at the time for eight years it would be easy right? Well it took a long 10 years to get mediocre at best. Met up with a guy who actually played the guitar and after about an hour of "jamming" with him teaching me a few things I can say I got way better in just an hour. Learning on your own can be fun and rewarding! But trying to learn an instrument is more than just say teaching yourself how to cut a straight line with a saw. You also have to learn your relationship with an instrument
