I haven't been here in a very long time and thought I would reconnect with trumpet master to see what all is going on. I know I have lots of friends who frequent this list - so hello everyone. I hope you are all playing great stuff and have plenty of gigs.
I'm still doing clinics for Getzen all over the country and leading the Stan Kenton Alumni Band.
Still on the road six to seven months a year and loving it all - except all the airport crap which is only getting worse.
We'll be touring in the Midwest, down into Texas and Louisiana and also later in the year on the East Coast with the Kenton Alumni in 2011. Sure hope to see many of you while on tour.

    Mike,

welcome back! I remember a school/university concert that you did with the Kenton band in the early 70s. You were definitely one of my idols! AWESOME!

Are you coming to Germany any time soon?

Good to see you here again Mike!

I remember taking this picture of three giants at the 2007 ITG.

    Welcome back!

I recall you playing in the Kenton band at a concert at NTSU, maybe around 1970 or so. Your 'fro was awesome!

Thanks for the welcoming messages. I love that photo with Wayne and Manny. We had a good subtitle for it a while ago and now I don't remember it. Sure looks like I'm trying to say something important! Those are two great guys as well as being great players!

Nice to see you here Mike.
I had the chance to play in one the Kenton clinics many years ago and got the chance to talk with him,the consummate gentleman he was.
Feel free to chime in here and there when you get the time.
