Hey everybody, just trying to get a little more information on an old trumpet I've inherited...

Its a Vega, apparently a Chas E. George Vega, I'm guessing its from the 1950's or so?

I know its not possible to appraise anything without actually being able to look at it, but is this a rare instrument, or something that is sought after, by chance?

All I really know about Vega is they were famous for making banjos...

Go to Horn-u-copia Scroll down to the list of makers to Vega. Several threads on History, models, etc. Quite a few photos of Vega trumpets. Pretty good horns from what I have heard. They turn up on ebay one in a while and seem to bring a decent value,in the hundreds, depending on condition. You might also try AllExperts Questions & Answers and ask one of their trumpet moderators if they know more about the horn you have.
