I need help with tuning my trumpet.

I have no tuners at my house currently, and my guitar is most likely out of tune

Can you please help me by telling me how i can tune it by ear? If Possible?

    Welcome to TM, PCTeacher012!

The main tuning slide is usually pulled 3/8-3/4 of an inch. It varies from brand to brand and player to player. You can probably find something that will give you pitches over the internet if you search for it.

    Have fun!

Aebersold CD's usually have a tuning note. plus they're great things to have. Go find an Aebersold book/cd full of easy tunes and pick it up

There ARE online tuners. I've found them before, just couldn't get the right kind searching right now (sorry).

If you find an online tuner remember, you're playing a B flat instrument, so when you're playing your tuning C, the actual tone is a B flat. So if you find an online tuner, make sure you tune to B flat.

Or if you have $20, you could get one of these:

Korg CA-30 Chromatic Tuner - Free Shipping, Lowest Prices on Tuners and Metronomes at WWBW

I have one and it works great.

    Good luck and have fun!!

Just looked at your link. Are you playing on a C trumpet?

Some Schilkes come with a tuning fork. They are against the electronic tuners; the resonation of the horn gives false readings to the tuner, they say.
I use an electric tuner, myself. I don't own a Schilke, but I would love to try one soon.
