    NO! The octaves ALWAYS start with C. Double b is a major 7th (or in Germany a minor 7th, we use H as b natural) ABOVE double C

    I think the Q# was the loud fart mentioned earlier in this thread!
    I enjoy playing and listening to high notes as much as the next guy, but unless you can play them consistently when the downbeat is given, it just doesn't matter.

    Back in the mid eighties, I listened to a Jazz band near the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris - that's pretty high, great view too. ROFL
