The larger bore ST307 ( my preference ) and the ST308 current versions of the MF Holton are in my mind, and the reason I eventually became affiliated with Leblanc / Holton, the best all around trumpets I have ever played.

I have played a lot of horns over the years, but for purity of sound and intonation, and specifically from ease of playing, I was just blown away when these horns came out.

I am an enthusiastic believer in these horns and just wanted to share that with the forum. If you get a chance, try one.

Rich, thanks for posting this info. Can you tell us where these horns are made? Sounds like your big band in Seattle plays great. Should be up to Seattle this summer, I'll look you up, see if the band is playing somewhere.

Hey Dave - Holton / Leblanc is in Wisconsin USA

The horns are made in Kenosha Wisconsin, USA and are fantastic.

The manufacturers web site is: www.gleblanc.com

I believe the website can provide a dealer locator and you might try the woodwind and brasswind online as well.

Definately let me know when you are coming to Seattle Dave, would be fun to hang.
