Horn Design Question????

    The Benge is well-known for it. A friend of mine in college played a Benge that would cut through and refuse to blend with the primarily-Bach section we had at the time. He eventually traded it for a Mt. Vernon Bach, but I wish I could have afforded to buy it off him, simply because it was such a great horn for solo/commercial sounds.

    I found no small coincidence when the "Bach Commercial" trumpet came out with that 2nd slide looking a lot like a Benge!

    Amen to the projection. I had a Benge Claude Gordon when I was younger. That thing would sizzle
