I'm in the long-awaited position these days of not having to work 12 months of the year to make ends meet. You wouldn't begrudge me a bit of practice time and the odd voyage of discovery would you? ;-)

I scored myself a valve bone to borrow!!!!!! Yew, maybe ill be able to play it on some jazz gigs. Can you use normal trombone stands with it or do you have to buy a specialised one?

There are a variety of shapes. so if it is a Jupiter / Olds/Conn/Getzen. then a normal one will fit.

Some are a little squat to make them easier to hold, so will not fit a normal stand. Marching troms - just stand them on the bell.

What model did you get to borrow?
