    Hitman, take it easy. I am not a moderator, but do know, that a moderator need to have an extensive playing experience, be moderate in his posts and to have the skill to deal with people who may disturb the TM community in one or another way (scams, offensive language, extreme opinions etc). Moderators can add to that, but my modest opinion is that for you, Hitman, is too early to think about becoming a moderator. Besides, if TM admin thinks that they may use your skills and your experience as moderator, he will probably invite you to become one.

    One step at a time. Don't forget that.

    This thread should probably be in the Lounge, not in the Trumpet Discussion forum.

    But this forum isn't broken.
    Plus, moderators don't have anything to do with the coding. They make sure things stay civil and take of general house keeping.

    Hitman,

    You spend all your spare time practicing, leaving almost none for the internet, and then when you are at your musically busiest, traveling all around to play for others and give master classes, with scarcely a moment to spare for even mundane things like brushing your teeth or calling home to say hi to Mom, you will be invited to moderate.

    Hitman,
    I didn't look for the job, it, like most great things in my life, found me.

    Your posting habits, especially when controversial subjects come up play a very big role. I think there is no way you can specifically "prepare" yourself for this. Your playing habits and ability to help will show over time.

    If you have a problem in this forum, PM me. If something in the site is broken, you can contact any moderator, MJ or admin.

    Nick, Robin, Chuck, Brekelefuw, Schwab and veery715;

    I think you summed it up. Being a moderator here has about as much power as being a hall monitor in school.

    If anything, we want to keep TM safe. Fair enough?
