How do you shake?

    So would we call them shakes or lip trills in Maynards theme -Blue Birdland? Seems like they used to move about 5 steps on them.

    Drink lots of coffee - that usually makes me shake :)

    But, in answer to your question, I guess there are varying opinions on what it means. To me, a shake is a lip trill. IN other words, a slur without use of valves.

    A great, great exercise book for getting proficient at lip trills and doing the "Maynard-Style Shakes"
