A little trumpet music history trivia for the group:

Wynton Marsalis is a member of the Legion of Honor, a military decoration that Napoleon created in 1802 to recognize men who had performed extraordinary services to the French nation. The honor is also given to non-Frenchmen and to meritorious civilians. Among those holding this special honor is Wynton Marsalis.

Why do I bring this up? I'm studying European History in college, trying to finish up a degree. I am studying for the mid-term on Napoleon's wars and found Wynton's picture (playing the trumpet) in my textbook. Cool huh?
