I have a B&S challenger I trumpet in perfect condition. Im a good trumpet player, and know the insides and out of a trumpet. However, im not very familiar with makes, models and prices of trumpets. If i was trying to sell this trumpet what would be a reasonable price to ask for?

Could be worth up to $1000, but more likely around $700. Take some pix and put it up for sale on eBay and you'll find out.

They're a German made horn, Bach Strad style, but not too consistent.

If you are a good trumpet player, why not forget selling it and use it. Practice!

Thank you for your response. I thought it was worth more, but thats good to know so I can change the price im selling it at. I got this trumpet senior year, but I still liked my old trumpet. I rarely play this one so I am going to sell it. But have no fear, I still play a couple times a week on my yamaha

The Brass Review let's you know how much people have bought your model trumpet for:

    Brass - B&S

Just click on your model and people may have reviewed the horn and often times tell the price they purchased it for. It's a very good site and helped me decide which C trumpet to buy. Hope this helps!

Bear in mind that many of the posters at brass review don't know which end of a trumpet to blow in.
Very few real pros will review a horn and post at that website, or any website for that matter, so use caution when reading those reviews. Quite a few of the reviews there are laugh out loud ridiculous.
Veery put your Challenger in the right price range.

You need to get pretty lucky to get $700 or more. Discounting on new "intermediate" horns is pretty heavy in these troubled times.
