I would believe that would depend on who's in the shower with you at the time, assuming you are referring to the past tense.

To be honest, I clean my trumpet every 3 months.

But I do shower daily, and that shower thing I just posted above could have me switching to cleaning daily, that's what I'm talkin 'bout.

You won't need to clean this often if you put a couple of drops of valve oil in the leadpipe after your last playing session each day.

This was meant as your laugh of the day!!

Please read the article with a grain of salt and remember that article if you are ever inclined to buy a horn from Zachary Music!

I clean out the horns I use daily about every 2 weeks.

It's a very old tip from Renold Schilke but probably pre-dates him.

My main horn gets cleaned every two month's, "top to bottom". The rest of my "harem" gets cleaned on an as needed basis. I DO swab the leadpipe and tuning slide when done playing any horn.

The amount of cleaning depends more on how much you are playing it. I subbed for Don Jacoby one night and pulled his mouthpiece and tuning slide and could not see light through the lead pipe!
Quick tip. Put some toothpaste on your mouthpiece brush and clean it with that. ONLY YOUR MOUTHPIECE!
