    Hi everyone,
I was wondering where people learn to build trumpets at a professional level or where they get started. Do they just go to a factory and apply for a job/training program? I was thinking of getting into this line of work early on.

    Thanks

You can apply for an apprenticeship, or get some Napbirt training as a repairman first. There are also courses for building natural trumpets:

I find that it is useful to have additional skills like physics. That can teach us to do things perhaps in a more measurable, repeatable way.

yeah I'm near Anaheim- I've contacted Kanstul, but the factory is closed right now, so only the sales manager is there. I'll probably go there and apply, but I'm not sure if they have a summer-only program. I was hoping to learn during the summers and breaks so that when I leave college, I can go do this full time.
