That's Tine Thing Helseth of Norway you've discovered - one of the hottest professional trumpet players of this age! And her secret is that she started playing on Cornet, with a super-large mouthpiece. As an 11-year-old, she played a #4 Denis Wick...

Yodelling is more the thing here in Austria - and remember. No Kangaroos in Austria.

Ah Austria, you're pretty close to the Inderbinen shop then. I'm waiting for an Inderbinen and man I wish I could go there and pick it up my self :-)

Is the DW 4 really "super large"? I thought that would be more the DW 2 mouthpiece, which I play (no wonder I'm so good I guess).

DW 4 isn't large. It's quite a standard size. On their mouthpiece comparison chart, it compares to a Bach 7C.

DW 4 Cornet has a huge cup, and I'm talking about an old style DW 4 - pre-1980's. They were totally different from what they are today.

Thanks for that - I don't think I ever tried one. My DW 2 cornet mouthpiece is quite big, and I got it in the late 80's.

You can always take more lessons; only, if you were taking lessons with Tine Thing Helseth, you might get distracted...

The pre-1980 DW 4 cornet mpc is even bigger than the post-1980 #2. Then, it was their biggest mpc.
