I Just Broke My Trumpet

    It cost me 30 bucks plus tax. Apparently the brace by the tuning slide needed to be soldered as well.

    My trumpet doesn' t sound the same though. I checked the valves and they seem to be in their positions. Also for some reason. I' m not accumulating spit. I tried blowing out the spit but nothing comes out. What could be the problem? :-(

    What do you mean it doesn't sound the same? Is it better, worse, stuffy, or what?

    Yeah, I guess stuffy and worse. Is it because the trumpet needs to get warmed up?

    Stuffy is relative.
    Playtest the horn in a big room. That is where its behaviour must be 100%.

    Braces are even more important than mouthpieces!

    since the brace had to be reattached, that could have been off for a long time and that would probably make a significant change in the sound... anyway that's what the companies say :p
