Of course -- I really like Ingrid Jensen's playing for some reason --- anyways, I found an interesting interview, and if you listen there are some valuable tips on playing the trumpet in this short vid!!!

Oooooh boy!!!!!! I tell you what, I definitely have a fetish for female trumpet players. My wife knows this also, you would think this would motivate her to learn, but she really a painter at heart. She also knows that if I had a chance with Alison Balsom, I would leave her. :play:

Check her out in the context of Maria Schneider's Orchestra. Truly creative.

One thing about Ingrid's interviews is the explanations of music.

"trumpet was not my first choice" --- and typically she tells about finding -- "her own sound", as an expression of her and not so much of the trumpet. In other words, the trumpet exemplifies the personality of the person playing it, such that it becomes more about the person -- and less about the trumpet!!!!

"a long journey, of ups and downs, it is what you make of it --- if you decide it's hard to play, then it will be hard to play!!!" 30+ years of experimentation and WORK!!!

(((those are a few things that I picked out from this interview))))
