If you could name one trumpet solo of your favorite players..

    Never could make up my mind between these two...Miles, both from the 1963 Seven Steps to Heaven album; Baby Won't You Please Come Home...and...I Fall In Love Too Easily. Does muted trumpet get any better than this?

    Goldie by Lee Morgan (with Jazz Messengers). It's a live recording, I don't know where, nor exactly when... I have it on an old 45 rpm EP, and in my head from a to z !
