I heard the slap mouthpieces were really just like a regular mouthpiece, but with a different throat entrance. It supposedly makes articulations more defined. Is this the only difference or is there more to it? I heard many unadvertised changes to the monette mpc line were made. What kind of stuff have they done?

I believe some of the prana backbores have been changed, hence numbers like 81 appearing after the model number.
Also, they are doing some of the work with a computerised lathe.
My early prana looks a bit different to the newer one.

They don't seem to keep many E series mouthpieces in stock in the Prana line. I am on an E2 which I feel is too small for me.

Incidentally I always do the Neruda on Bb, sometimes rotary, even though I have a Schilke E3L-4 (which i use a lot in the orchestra as it covers Bb and C aparts quite well).
I always think of the Neruda as a horn concerto. I once played the middle movement on flugel horn in a contest.
